After a year’s gap in 2020, the Maxwell Museum Annual Navajo Rug Auction!  Come to Praire Star Restaurant, on Santa Ana Pueblo on November 20 for the region's only Navajo Rug Auction.

More than two hundred traditional and contemporary handmade rugs by weavers of New Mexico and Arizona will be on display and available for purchase. The only local Navajo rug auction, it will feature a wide range of rug styles and other hand crafted Native American art.

Viewing begins at 11 a.m.; the auction starts at 1:00 p.m. sharp. Whether you are a collector or interested in knowing more, the Navajo rug auction offers a great opportunity to view a variety of styles. The auction is fast moving, fun, and exciting. Browse, bid, and take home a unique handmade textile.  The event is free and open to all. Proceeds benefit Navajo weavers and the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology. Purchases are tax free. 

Note: Masks required and COVID-19 safe protocols will be enforced. All guidelines of UNM, Santa Ana Pueblo, and the State of New Mexico.  This may include if necessary, canceling or postponing the event should conditions worsen.
