Hanging of the Greens is UNM's oldest student tradition and this year the Maxwell Museum will participate. The museum will be open in the evening from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Visitors will be able to stop by our "Open House" and warm up with free hot chocolate, cookies (including a gluten-free variety), and a special holiday “photobooth,” so that you may take home a digital souvenir of that evening with your family or friends.

*PLESE NOTE: Our Museum, of course, is only one stop out of several stops on campus*

The main organizers of the Hanging of the Greens is Mortar Board, UNM's premier senior honor society. They have planned the main walking tour of the campus to begin at 5:45 PM at the UNM Bookstore. From there, groups will carol across campus to the University House to present the President with a wreath. The event will conclude with a reception at Hodgin Hall. A last note from the main organizers: “The community is invited and attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped children's book to place under the tree at Hodgin Hall. Books will be donated to UNM Children's Hospital.”
