Dakota Pavell

Dakota Pavell is the Laboratory Manger and Feld Director at OCA. Dakota received her Master’s in Anthropology from East Carolina University and has been working for the Office of Contract Archeology (OCA) since November of 2021. In addition to supervising laboratory processing, specialized laboratory processing of samples, data quality checks, curation, and overseeing report preparation, she has performed survey, test excavations, data recovery, artifact analyses and curation, work with perishable artifacts, and contributes to report writing and production. Ms. Pavell has a background in biological anthropology, zooarchaeology, paleontology, GIS, and teaching undergraduate anthropology courses.
