During the 2025-2026 academic year, 13 UNM graduate students in Anthropology and Museum Studies received support from the Frank C. Hibben Trust. As part of their fellowship obligatins, they worked in the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology, assisting in collections, educational programming, and exhibit development. They created new educational trunks for our K-12 audience; catalogue, documented, and built new housing for Maxwell Museum collections; helped transcribe interviews of Dine participants in the the Museum's travelling 2024 All Rez exhibition: conducted research on NAGPRA relevant collections to support the Museum's repatriation work; and much more!  All while working on their MA and doctoral reserach projects.  You can learn more about these amazing students and the work they've done by reading the 2025-2026 Hibben Fellow Report
