Research Wednesday: A Place at Mother Earth's Table Volume 2

Maxwell Museum Blog

New Mexico Sunflower

Welcome to the second presentation in our series A Place At Mother Earth’s Table, Edible Wild Plants of the Rio Grande Region. We will be looking at 20 plants this time, and this booklet is designed to help you on your journey of discovery. We have made changes in the plants we will present in this program, deleting some, adding others, and repeating the popular ones.
We have maintained the format used in the previous booklet for the 6 new plants which includes a description, ethnobotanical or historic and modern plant use summary, the kinds of archaeobotanical evidence that are found that tell us about past plant uses, and a summary of available nutrition information.
