When will the Maxwell will reopen?
The University of New Mexico leadership is working hard on plans to safely "Bring Back the Pack" to our campus (http://bringbackthepack.unm.edu/) and the staff of the Maxwell Museum is waiting to learn when we can return. Plans are still being formulated, with laboratories and other research spaces having high priority. We hope that we will know soon when we begin the first step of our reopening by returning to our collections, archives and Office of Contract Archeology research spaces. Planning for reopening the galleries is still a ways down the road. When we do return, it will be to a schedule of 'work from home when you can and on campus when you must.' And it will be to a changed world of strict cleaning schedules, abundant soap and hand sanitizer, face masks, and social distancing -- as we work together to keep everyone safe. We will share what we know as we learn more and meanwhile will keep working from home to expand the ways we can serve you online.
