Hanging of the Greens: Maxwell Participation

Friday, December 2, 2022 -
6:00pm to 8:00pm
Maxwell Museum Courtyard

Hanging of the Greens is UNM's oldest student tradition and this year the Maxwell Museum will participate. The museum will be open in the evening and visitors will also be able to stop at our beautiful southwest courtyard for a hot drink, a tasty snack, and a special holiday “photobooth,” so that you may take home a souvenir of that evening.

The walking tour will begin at 5:45 PM at the UNM Bookstore. From there, the group will carol across campus to University House to present the President with a wreath. The event will conclude with a reception at Hodgin Hall. At some point during this tour, the group will stop by the Maxwell Museum where we will welcome everyone wholeheartedly.

A last note from the main organizers, Mortar Board, UNM's premier senior honor society: “The community is invited and attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped children's book to place under the tree at Hodgin Hall. Books will be donated to UNM Children's Hospital.”
