Chief Danial Smith of the Tlowitsis Nation and the Maxwell Museum invite you to the Blessing and Celebration for the recently restored Smith Family Totem Pole. The Totem Pole originated in 1907 on Turnour Island, British Columbia, and was created by the artist Charlie Yakuglas James. It was recently restored by Kwakwaka'wakw artists Tom Hunt Jr., and Bertram Smith and raised in the UNM Hibben Center. 

The Tlowitsis Nation, Chief Daniel Smith, the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology, the Ortiz Center for Intercultural Studies, and the UNM Department of Anthropology respectfully request your presence and participation at this blessing.
