Student Volunteer Positions in Archaeology

Students age 18 and older are welcome and must be currently enrolled and in good standing within an undergraduate or graduate level departments of Anthropology, Museum Studies or a similar field at a college or university. Students should have strong attention to detail, have working knowledge of Excel and/or databases, and be able to work in an enclosed space with dirt and dust. Archaeology volunteers work in the basement of the Hibben Center for Archaeology. See visitor page for detailed directions. Parking passes are provided.

Examples of volunteer projects include: sorting and reboxing legacy collections; cataloguing collections; object photography; object inventory; object mount-making. Training is provided for all projects.
