Join us on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10:00am – 12:00pm in the courtyard and galleries of the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology at the University of New Mexico for our Fall Family Day! The event is free, and we will have fun and informative activities for all ages.
This semester, Family Day is all about Pueblo Pottery. Learn about Pueblo pottery making knowledge and processes, and about clay and its purpose in Pueblo life. Explore the newest exhibit at the Maxwell Museum, "Coiling Kin: The Life of Pueblo Pottery". Through the voices of 25 Pueblo curators, this exhibition provides a celebration of clay and of its respectful use from its raw to worked forms.
Watch pottery making demonstrations from Coiling Kin co-curators Claudia Mitchell (Acoma Pueblo), Dolores Garcia (Acoma Pueblo) and Ryan Roller (Santa Clara Pueblo), make and decorate your own pottery, and more!

PARKING
We have free reserved parking spots immediately to the west of our Museum; next to those are pay-for-parking spots. On Saturdays, visitors may park in any permit lot at no charge - so if our lot is full, you can park in "Lot C," just North of the Maxwell.
